Question about oxycotin?

Im getting my wisdom teeth removed soon and the doctor gave me prescriptions for drugs one of them being oxycotin. I remember one of my friends talk about it before. I did some research and found its highly addictive. Should i worry about getting addicted? And is there anything else i should know before i take it after the surgery
