Miserable 20 month old after tonsil, adenoid and tube surgery?

My 20 month old had his tonsils and adenoids removed and tubes put in yesterday morning. He is crying nonstop (I can only imagine how painful it must be). Something just seems off, consider maternal extinct, I am just concerned because he cries even after the tylenol with codeine is given to him? has anyone experienced this and is there anything that could be wrong? I am waiting to hear back from his surgeon but anything in the meantime would be helpful. I am thinking one of his tubes may be blocked?

Thrush as side effect for flagyl or ciprofloxacin?

I was prescribed flagyl and ciprofloxacin for my pouchitis (I had Jpouch surgery to remove my colon a while ago). I've been on these anitbiotics for a little less than a week and just noticed a white film on my tongue. It also feels like cotton is in my mouth. I think it is thrush. Is this a side effect of either medication? How do you treat the thrush?

Rain system in water dragon terrarium?

i have not gotten my water dragon yet, but im having trouble keeping the humidity in. Its a 36x17x17 screen terrarium, but i covered all the sides with, trash bags and clear plastic wrap and a wet tshirt on top, so its pretty sealed off. i have a large pool under the heat and 2 live plants, and 1 fake. but when i mist it goes to around 99% then lowers to 80% within 30 min. it goes down to like 45% within 1-1.5 hrs.. and i have a Tropic aire humidifier, but it really doesnt help. i need to know, which would be better. a rain system, or something else. please help me. i have the stuff to make a rain system but i dont know if that will be good for the water dragon. what would work to keep the humidity at around 80%?

He'd never be able to be a chronic video game player again, but he should be able to resume somewhat normal use of his hands...I would at least get a second opinion. Have you just kept going back to the same doctor or have you asked many? Have you specifically asked what the benefits of surgery may be? so my sisters appendix exploded like 3 weeks ago, she had the infection and they drained it out with tubes. BUT she still has her exploded appendix inside her body because the hospital she went to is giving her the run around. The doctor who seen her went on vacation right away without giving her a follow up appointment so that she can get surgery and there is an insurance issue. she does not know when she is going to get it removed its been almost a month since, What can happen, what can she do.. My friend has multiple cysts they are pretty small the doc gave her birth control pills im aware they dont get rid of them the pills jus prevents more to create and it prevents you from ovulating so it mantains your hormones from not going crazy which is what makes the cysts. So am wondering has any women ever expirienced having ovarian cyst non-cancerous and not mistaken by a tumor and no surgery needed, how long did it take for the cyst to go away on its own? Not too long ago, i had to get a benign ovarian cyst removed. They informed me (before surgery), that i had to remove my underpants, but that i could keep my bra on. But when i woke up after the operation, i noticed my bra was at the end of my hospital bed. Somehow they had removed it while i was gassed/under. I'm scared in a way, and probably a tad bit paranoid, but do you think there is a chance the MALE surgeon & MALE nurses did this for their own, personal amusement? I don't know why, but ever since i saw my bra, i've felt so violated & full of low self esteem. I've been covering my body since. I'm just wondering if any of you women have had an ovarian cyst removed, did they remove both your underpants & bra? It just seems strange. If they were going to take the bra off me, then why did they say i could wear it? It's not like the bra can get in the way of the operation, as the key cuts were down below.

Good camouflage for Northeastern US woodlands?

I play airsoft/paintball in the northeastern woods of Pennsylvania. To me, this is a quite unusual woodland due to the lighter greens and sharper leaves and plants which, to me, seems like they would only be found in a tropic/jungle. How useful is a second major or minor in math for an ENGINEER?

Why would it be useful? I cannot think of a reason. Go ahead and take the other interesting engineering courses. You really should be taking dynamics, it is basic knowledge, same with all your other courses (partial differential equations, design, etc.). Trading your engineering/physics education for math education does not make any sense to me. Pure math is not going to be useful, applied math will be useful but that is why we take engineering math courses so again it makes no sense to seek an auxillary degree like this. Biomed engineers going into mechatronics, I do not see how anything that a math major gets exclusively would ever be something that gives you an advantage. It only sounds good shallowly, think about it more.

In 1996 i had a double disc surgery in my neck. They used coral implants with a titanium plate to secure. 3 years ago i had an xray taken that showed the plate had cracked in half. I had requested the xray due to discomfort in the area of the surgery. Recently i had another xray taken and it revealed that the bone is starting to grow over the top of the plate. Well I dance and cheer and my freshman year I was dancing and while doing a Triple turn I did something and I messed up my foot. Monday, we were supposed to see each other and he didn't get home until a lot later than expected and it became too late for us to do anything, so we agreed to hang out Tuesday, when we would both have more time. Before going to bed, I asked him where he's been all day, and he replied that he had go to a post op appointment, and had been on meds all day, asleep. He seemed tired but told me he was just "deep in thought" and again, stopped answering. The next day, I didn't wake up to a good morning text or anything. He was in summer school so I just waited til after, still no response, I texted him, this conversation lasted about 5 minutes, and again he stopped answering. He said nothing about our plans for the day, so again, waiting about 4 hours, I texted him asking if we were going out, he never answered and we didn't talk yesterday, at all. To me, the short period of time was just not enough for his feelings to change. Tuesday (when we were supposed to see each other would have also been the 2 year anniversary of him and his ex, so I understand him not wanting to hang out, as it would have been weird for me too. Yesterday was also her birthday (go figure) so again, kind of weird. But today, I want to text him seeing if he answers, but I don't want to seem clingy. So am I over reacting? Should I wait for him to text me? Or should I attempt to talk to him? We were so close to being a couple after all this time..its killing me to even question that this is the end. My plan was to wait a week for him to talk to me and then just give up, but I really hate that option. What do you think I should do?

Why do my legs swell and itch while exercising?

I had knee surgery and MCL (hamstring implant) replacement back in March. Gallbladder healing process?

So on the 15th of this month I got my gallbladder removed they did the surgery where they make the tiny incisions. I was wondering if anyone experienced any itching sensation on the incisions and if that's normal also a coupld of the bandages came off already so its just scabs now but there is a small faint of redness around my scabs. I was prescribed flagyl and ciprofloxacin for my pouchitis (I had Jpouch surgery to remove my colon a while ago). I've been on these anitbiotics for a little less than a week and just noticed a white film on my tongue. It also feels like cotton is in my mouth. I think it is thrush. Is this a side effect of either medication? How do you treat the thrush?

Well i would say Edmonton is dam colder, last year i think the weather channel said it was around -50 celsius which is scary cold. What to expect after my son gets out of surgery?

Discolouration between breasts?

Hi, my wife is developing a heat rash like thing between her breasts now that they have gotten bigger for breast feeding. we live in the tropics and it is really hot and humid here right now. right in the middle of her chest between her cleavage is darker than usual and it is sometimes dry and itchy for her. Infection from irremovable sutures.?

My wife had hand surgery 11 days ago. I was removing the stitches, accidentally cut the knot off of one and now can't remove it. These sutures are stitched under the incision in an oval shape with the opposite end of the knot under the skin. Once the knot is removed then there is no way to retrieve the suture unless she has it cut out. Will leaving this suture in cause any problems? They are not the kind that dissolve.

I need someone to help me stop obsessing over my hubby's ex.?

Outdoor tanning tips?

I tanned for the first time in foreverrrr the 29th. 20 min on each side. I only used Hawaiian Tropics royal spray or w/e it's called (no spf I know, bad) I did not get burnt or red. What would you suggest as far as time spent out for tomorrow and the next day etc.? And what stuff should I use? I have an spf 8 and an spf 4 lotion. And 30 spf chapstick (I use it) I want to be 80s tan, how long will it take? P.S. Please no comments on skin cancer/aging, I know all about them and I don't care.

It sounds like your going into this with a very cocky attitude. If you can stay cocky once you get that homework load I think you'll do fine. Legalizing my chopper-style three-wheeler?

Screws taken out of fibula/ankle fracture?

Okay so I broke my fibula or my ankle about 3 weeks ago and a week later i had surgery and had a metal plate and 8 screws put in. My doctor put me in a cast and will be going to the doctor after two weeks of surgery to see if he can take out the cast. The doctor said that after 3 months of surgery that he will take out 1 or 2 screws. Will I be asleep and be put in a cast again? Or will I be put in some sort of ankle boot for a while? Thanks

As you can see, I only like phsyical things where I have to stay in physical shape where VERY few people are selected for out of the thousands that apply.. and my chances are SO slim in the only 2 things i'm interested in.
