Weathew forecasts always say that thunderstorms is what we are gonna get, but?

Unfortunately for them not a single drop of rain poured. As in just because we're in the tropics they always forecast the rainy and thunderstorm prediction but instead of that its always sun sun and more sun. Whats up with that?
