Does a trans rebuild affect rear differential?

Not usually. I dont suppose that the SAME tranny could damage the diff. What may have happened is that they geared the tranny wrong, then it caused problems. Otherwise i would suggest that it is just due to wear. Or maybe they didnt rebuild it very well. Left a bolt in the tranny? That would really mess things up. Take it back.
